Birzeit Innovation Group (BIG) was formed in May 2006, under the umbrella of CCE in order to contribute to and enhance its current programs through the utilization of Information Communication Technology (ICT), specifically for education, innovation, and knowledge building.
Purpose
BIG aspires to take the lead in conceptualizing ICT projects that complement and strengthen BZU's current and future programs, and aims at:
- Strengthening the culture of creativity through as well as the ability to plan and work beyond traditional thinking.
- Introducing creative ideas that help boost local knowledge on specific topics .
- Focusing on networking and attracting renowned local and international partners.
- Engaging CCE's & the University community in critical thinking and planning strategies .
- Hosting a number of local initiatives that contribute to knowledge building and serve to consequently lead to a greater pioneering role of BZU in the realization of the knowledge economy.
