Background
In November 2006, a soft launch for CAPABILITY took place in Amman, Jordan which was attended by a number of partners and potential partners that included Cisco, HP, WEF, Intel, UNDP, UNRWA, Welfare Association, TAGI, Rubicon and Career. The launch served to introduce the concept of CAPABILITY and to seek support and initiate a process of partnership building for the initiative. At the launch event, the participants requested CCE to develop a business plan for CAPABILITY that would serve as a road map for the initiative and identify possible areas that partners may be interested to support or become involved with.
Almost a year later, and on September 6th, 2007, the CAPABILITY Business Plan was completed and successfully launched at the CCE offices in Ramallah attended by many international and local partners such as Mr. Yvon Le Roux, Senior V.P- Cisco, and in which a memorandum of understanding between UNRWA and Birzeit was also signed. |
